A is for Anxiety

Here is a little comic I made about my anxiety. Ironically I feel very anxious about posting it! However, I am trying to be brave and keep on going with this blog, even if it is a little bit clunky right now. Aesthetics-wise my use of black and white was inspired by my two favourite comic artists: Art Spiegelman and Charles Burns. The claustrophobic impact their monochrome landscapes have are so striking, thus I was hoping to utilise a similar effect.

The use of black card was inspired by some illustrations I did for the Hackney Citizen with a friend from my course. Here is an illustration we did to complement an article we wrote on a boutique in Dalston. The werewolf in the dress is my favourite bit I think!
